Ganesh Dutta (ATCL, LTCL)
Born in Kolkata, Ganesh Dutta’s musical upbringing began at the age of eight. Taught initially by Ananta Makhal at the Oxford Mission, he subsequently trained under Allan Rowan at the Interlochen Centre for the Arts in Michigan (USA). He has formal training in Chamber Music having learnt it at the Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania (USA).
His exposure to Perlman, Yo Yo Ma and many others at master classes and special master classes has been a source of great inspiration as well as growth and development of his collaborative and solo work. Ganesh Dutta is an accomplished violinist and a dedicated teacher in a variety of styles ranging from classical to jazz.
He has played at prestigious festivals across Europe and USA. He has performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York. A full-time music teacher at the Vasant Valley School in Delhi and Artistic Director of the Community Orchestra, Mr. Dutta is at the forefront of all musical activity in the city and is in great demand as a session musician and a private violin tutor.
He continues to record albums and is also a guest artist at the Symphony Orchestra of India. His recent performances in Europe, with the Les musician of Europa company were much appreciated.
